Kirsch Introduces Decorative Drapery Hardware by Internationally Renowned Designer Clodagh
Kirsch, a leader in defining new and exciting concepts in decorative drapery hardware, blinds and shades unveils a dramatic new line of decorative drapery hardware...The Clodagh Collection. This exciting and distinctively unique line was developed by internationally renowned, Irish born designer, Clodagh and was inspired by her concept of creating "art to live in."
In her first line of decorative drapery hardware, Clodagh's signature style of incorporating an inventive and sensitive use of materials is featured in finials, poles and brackets. These designs are created using a combination of unexpected elements including unique woods and metals. This new line features clean and simplistic designs that enhance rather than overcomplicate window treatments. All of the exciting new designs were influenced by Clodagh's signature use of traditional materials to create a deeply personal and serenely beautiful atmosphere to every space. The initial product launch includes four designs:
Bantry - The inspiration for this design came from the rustic charm of an old Irish fishing village, where pilings lashed together with heavy rope and baskets strung with twine are plentiful. It is the physical wrapping and combination of wood and metal that bring this design to life.
Bangkok - Drawn from the exotic recollection of a boat ride along a bamboo-lined waterway, this design is the merging of sensuous curves of nature with a flick of satiny metal.
Napier - This design was named for the town in New Zealand where one can see how well Art Deco architecture has been preserved in the facades of the beautiful buildings. The flared square of this piece captures the aesthetic of that romantic era while reflecting a modern look.
Barcelona - Influenced by the beauty of this industrial city, this design reflects the aesthetic of machinery - clean, sleek and streamlined, while demonstrating the strength of metal and practicality of minimalism.
The Clodagh Collection will be available in October, 2002.
